Akuapem rapper Isaac Akuffo, known on stage as Koo Ntakra, has disclosed that they never received any payment for the “Trumpet” song that Sarkodie featured them on about 7 years ago.

Koo Ntakra revealed that even though the financial benefit was not of great concern to him, the mileage he reached when he was put on the song was worth more than money. The rapper expressed his deepest appreciation to Sarkodie for giving him such a huge platform to showcase his talent.

In a hot interview with DL 106.7 FM, Koo Ntakra revealed that the song has done more good to him than the money he was supposed to receive from Sarkodie. He testified that the platform made him a more valuable rapper in the music industry and his presence was always felt anytime he mounted the stage to perform.

“Trumpet was not paid for by Sarkodie, but the opportunity the song provided me with far outweighs any amount he could have given. Seven years have passed since the song’s debut, yet whenever I travel to perform in Ghana, they won’t allow me to get off stage if I don’t play that song.

I thus don’t think it would have an impact on me even if Sarkodie offered me 20 billion cedis as payment, based on the value I have derived from the song.” Koo Ntakra revealed.

Sarkodie dropped the banger about 7 years ago, which featured rappers like Koo Ntakra, Strongman, Donzy, Medikal, Teephow, Donzy, and Pappy Kojo. The song became an instant hit upon its release, as it had many creative rappers doing their own style with the best of their lyrical lines.
