Olamide – “The Baddest Guy” And YBNL Founder

Olamide, whose full name is Olamide Adedeji, is a Nigerian hip-hop recording artist, singer, and songwriter. Born on March 15, 1989, in Bariga, Lagos State, Nigeria, Olamide is popularly referred to as “Baddo” or “BaddoSneh” by his fans. Olamide’s entry into the music scene gained momentum with the release of his debut single “Eni Duro” in 2010. The song received positive reviews and marked the beginning of his rise in the Nigerian music industry. In 2011, he released his debut studio album, “Rapsodi,” which featured a mix of rap and Yoruba indigenous styles.

Olamide founded his record label, YBNL Nation (Yahoo Boy No Laptop), in 2012. Under YBNL, he released successful albums like “YBNL” (2012), “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth” (2013), and “Street OT” (2014). These albums contained hit tracks such as “Durosoke,” “Story for the Gods,” and “Shakitibobo.” Olamide has gone on to release other successful albums like, Carpe Diem, Unruly, UY Scuti and 999.

Olamide is known for his consistency in delivering albums and singles. He has experimented with different sounds, incorporating elements of Afrobeat, reggae, and dancehall into his music. His versatility and ability to adapt to evolving musical trends have contributed to his continued relevance in the industry. He recently released the track “Entertain Me“.

Olamide has collaborated with numerous Nigerian and international artists. Some of his notable collaborations include tracks with Phyno, Wizkid, Davido, and others. His features often add a unique flavor to the songs. In addition to his music career, Olamide has ventured into business.
