BROTHER SAMMY WANTED TO USE ME TO TREND BUT I DIDN’T ALLOW HIM – CECILIA MARFO

Cecilia Marfo, in an interview with JoyPrime, indicated that she had to avoid gospel artist Broda Sammy on several occasions because he wanted to trend. According to Cecilia Marfo, as a staunch Christian, her teachings do not permit her to involve herself in social media banter with fellow colleagues. She revealed that Christians frown at such acts, and if she had engaged in them, it would have affected her music career and ministry. She only recognized Broda Sammy as someone who always wanted to capitalize on certain opportunities to make a name, and she (Cecilia Marfo) did not fall victim to such a temptation. Cecilia Marfo mentioned that it was even through Broda Sammy that he got to know about something called “beef”. Roselyn Felli threw a question to Cecilia Marfo to inquire whether she denied slapping Broda Sammy some time ago or not and whether the accusations affected her in some way. In a sharp response, Cecilia Marfo revealed that the same Broda Sammy recently wanted to stage another beef with her, but she ignored him and did not want to tolerate unnecessary things. She said sometimes she cracks jokes, but she is well grounded in her ministry, which prohibits her from entertaining such things as beef. She added that some people are grown but have weak minds, and while some are genuine, there are also a lot of fake artists out there who are not serious. Cecilia Marfo added that they always want to trend with unnecessary things that do not glorify God.
However, she denied accusations of slapping Broda Sammy at a program at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi, in 2017.
