Gospel musician and prophetess Cecilia Marfo has complained bitterly about how some people have backbitten her, leading to the collapse of her church. Cecilia Marfo is one of the most prominent gospel musicians in Ghana and is respectfully recognized for her high-pitched worship songs. The artist revealed how her church, which had about 400 members, had been drastically reduced to about 40 members at the moment due to some ill comments certain people made about her. Cecilia Marfo believes the bad comments of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong and Evangelist Diana Asamoah had a strong negative influence on her church, and many of her members stopped attending church. Cecilia Marfo could not hold her tears as she narrated her ordeal to Rosely Felli in an interview on JoyPrime TV, monitored by Ghanasongs Graphics. When questioned on whether Kennedy Agyapong’s criticism of some churches affected her church, she replied in a sad tone that the Lord will fight her battles for her for what they have done to her; only God can intervene. The gospel artist looked dejected when she said she once had about 400 members, which have now been reduced to 40, and it makes her cry sometimes. Cecilia Marfo disclosed that everyone’s deeds will follow him or her, and she knows for sure that God will deal with all those people in the coming days who have tarnished her image as a prophetess of God. Cecilia Marfo wept after she made these statements during the interview.
When Cecilia was asked whether she was also disappointed in Evangelist Diana Asamoah, she revealed that they were like sisters in Christ, even though things have fallen apart now, but she holds no hatred for her sister. Cecilia stated she used to honor Diana’s invitation to her programs, but she always chose to remain quiet and never tried to disclose things anyhow. Cecilia said many people have repented listening to her songs, and the people’s number even outweighs the number of members she has lost, which shows that all hope is not lost. Cecilia talked about forgiveness in the Bible and said she has let go of everything, for it is in God she trusts. It can be recalled that there was a beef between Cecilia and Diana, which made the latter say the former was immature, which is why she always sings at high pitches in her ministrations. Also, Evangelist Diana Asamoah once slammed Cecilia Marfo for being so arrogant. When Cecilia Marfo snatched a microphone from Joyce Blessing when she (Joyce Blessing) was ministering on stage, Cecilia told Joyce Blessing to go back to her husband in a prophetic tone. Diana Asamoah responded to this embarrassing incident and stated that Cecilia Marfo duly deserved a slap for that uncouth attitude.
