HEADLINE : I SLEPT AT PUBLIC TOILET FOR WHOLE YEAR-MUSICIAN LADY SCARCE TELLS HER SAD STORY

Ghanaian sensational artist lady Scarce made time to share his life story with Felicia Osei of Onua 95.1FM.

Lady scarce talked about her music genre and made mention that she is an afropop, hihop, dancehall and rap artists. She indicated that music has been part and parcel of her” I started music at age 7, I used to sing at church and represent my school in many competitions”.

The artist revealed her mother is a Nigerian and her late father was a Ghanaian and after she lost her father, she traced her root back to Ghana to settle for some time.

Lady scarce made known that not only a musician she is but also a great footballer. When asked by the hostess whether she still plays football or not, she replied ” I have stopped playing professional football about eight years ago and started chasing music as my passion and dream career. Now I play football for fun because music is my calling”.

She listed a number of teams she played with in which she scored many goals as a footballer. Felicia Osei inquired from the artist whether music is paying or not but she gave a straight answer that she doesn’t care about that aspect since it’s her Calling. Lady Scarce further disclosed how she slept in a public toilet facility for a whole year when she came to Accra.

” I slept at Zakus Public toilet and bathhouse at kasoa for a whole year , I did all these to make ends meet and sometimes I could walk from kasoa to circle”.

Lady scarce shed mild tears as she narrated how she slept in a public toilet facility and that made way for a music interlude during the interview.

“I moved away from the toilet facility after I got money from petty mobile phone trading at circle” she added.

Lady Scarce hinted on the release of her first song titled, “Jeje” and urged fans and Ghanaians to show massive love and support as she embarks on her music career. Her first single, “Jeje” is a sensational song that brings calm and joy to the soul.

Fans usually enjoy and request that gospel artists should also feature or collaborate with secular artists or artists of other music genres. In Ghana, many gospel artists are known to turn down offers from secular artists with the intentions to do music together.

While other gospel artists and secular artists have buried their differences to collaborate in music, others have taken a strong decision not to make this dream materialize.

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian gospel artist Joe Mettle has disclosed in an interview on Love FM that he has no intentions of featuring a secular artist. Joe Mettle indicated that there have been many calls from secular artists to collaborate with him but because he has no intentions for that, it has not happened. However, some notable examples of gospel and secular artists in Ghana that have collaborated to bring out great songs include;

Lady Prempeh and Kuami Eugene, Daddy Lumba and Great Ampong, Nacee and Guru, Sarkodie and Yaw Sarpong of the Asomafo Music group, Bethel Revival Choir and artists such as Fameye, Stonebwoy, King Promise etc. Ghanaians anticipate more of such collaborations so as to foster unity in the music industry and the country as a whole.

HEADLINE 3 : CAMIDOH’S MANAGER DISCLOSES HOW A LONDON AGENCY MADE, “SUGARCANE ” VIRAL

Ghanaian afrobeat artist Camidoh has been on the mouth of many people around the world after he bagged nomination for 2023 BET’s Best New International Act.

The nomination came as a surprise to many people who later accepted it in good fate. However, Camidoh’s manager has made known some of the measures they put in place to make the “Sugarcane” song go viral in the outskirts of Ghana.

Their aim was to target the international market and make the song receive massive airplay everywhere around the world.

According to Mr. George M. Britton who is Camidoh’s manager, they hired an agency which is located in London to see to it that “Sugarcane” received massive airplay on radio.

He added they exercised their checks to see if the agency was doing the work and truly they did a beautiful work which even took the song to countries like Kuwait and Mauritius. He revealed this to Amansan Krakye of Cape-Coast based Property FM. Mr. Britton also added that they channeled all the money generated from the promotion back into another promotion again and it was a great strategy.

He said they knew the outcome would be brilliant and eventually they have had good results. Camidoh seeks to bring the award to Ghana as the first Ghanaian BET award winner.
