Beyoncé rescued fans during a stormy Renaissance concert in Maryland, paying $100,000 to the DC Metro system to stay open an hour later than usual. This gesture ensured a smoother commute for fans.

Metrorail’s Twitter account announced an extra hour for the last Silver Line train to Ashburn, departing Morgan Boulevard at 1:04 a.m. to weather the storm.

FedEx Field announced precautions due to lightning in the area, requiring fans to shelter in place. Fans outside gates and parking lots are advised to return to their cars, while inside fans are advised to shelter under covered concourse areas and ramps until further notice.

A stadium official reported fans suffering from heat exhaustion during a shelter in place due to high temperatures and crowds in the concourse. The shelter was considered the safest place during severe weather.
