And it’s a shake down about to blow off in the Ghanaian music scene. A new rap artist, by name D’Satchi has just dropped two hiplife/hip hop bangers titled ‘Trotro running’ & ‘Brayenkor’, both featuring Cryxtal de Uniq. The tracks are already spinning heads and garnering massive airplay on most radio stations across the country. And judging by other tracks exclusively received and listened to from D’Satchi, this guy is set to shake down the music industry.
‘Trotro running’’ simply tells the tales of riding in trotro. The concept and storylines in this song paints a vivid picture of the everyday happenings of boys meeting up girls in trotro, where relationships and hook-ups sometimes quickly follow. Danfo as it is called in Nigeria, and Matatu in Kenya and other East African nations also got mentioned in the track. “Be careful though, when your girl rides trotro often…because there are too many players in this game”, D’Satchi warned.
‘Brayenkor’ on the other hand follows the old fashion ‘play and flirt lines’ used by boys and girls who dare and brag about their hyped-up and unmatched sexual abilities and prowess when ‘conversating’ with to-be-partners they may be interested in. The chorus is very infectious and catchy, and performed in Twi and Ewe, and translates to “If you say you can, come let’s go, come, come, come let’s go”.
D’Satchi has indicated that his 17 tracks debut album titled ‘The Gold Rush’ loaded with hit singles such as Ohema, Sehorr, Tryna Luv U, Mievado, Lorlor, Spoil My Name, etc. is finished and awaiting final release date from his record label GoldSmithen GMG. He promised to drop the videos for these dope tunes in a month time, and at least three more follow up banger singles before the year 2017 winds down.
